Using the Transshipment Tracker window, you can enter and track containers that need to be loaded on a follow-on vessel after discharge at your terminal. The Transshipment Tracker enables you to enter the From and To vessel, and the number of transshipped containers to be discharged. XPS uses the vessel schedule to display the estimated layover time for the containers.
If the schedule changes for the proposed To vessel, the transshipment connection might be missed. N4 flags this situation so that you can quickly respond by planning the containers to another vessel.
To enter tracking information for transshipments:
Open the Berth Scheduler window (on page 1).
In the Berth Scheduler window, select a vessel visit.
From the Actions list, select Track Transshipments.
In the Transshipment Tracker window, from the Actions drop-down list, select New to enter a new transshipment tracking record.
Select the correct vessel visit from the From Visit and To Visit lists.
Enter or update the estimated number of transshipped containers in the Est. column.
The XPS client displays a layover period in days, hours, and minutes in the Layover column. If the schedule for the To Visit changes so that the connection cannot be made, the XPS client displays a red Missed flag in the Status column.
